Thanks to James P, who purchased a DUXCEL router for internet access while camping, for the following comments:
You guys have probably cracked this one but I had a bit of a fight with it, to get the 3G working this is the config I had, the APN and dial is fine, easy to get off the net, I got stumped on the data and info channel.
On my card it was 4. Worked it out by using /system serial-terminal usb2 channel=? until I found one that responded to the ATI command.
Here is my PPP config, hope this helps:
Flags: X - disabled, R - running
0 R name="ppp-out1" max-mtu=1500 max-mru=1500 mrru=disabled port=usb2
data-channel=4 info-channel=4 apn="telstra.internet" pin="" user=""
password="" profile=default phone="*99#" dial-command="ATDT"
modem-init="" null-modem=no dial-on-demand=yes add-default-route=yes
use-peer-dns=yes allow=pap,chap,mschap1,mschap2
I haven't tested the MTU but it hasn't caused me any problems yet. Great product, should get some good use this weekend when I am camping.
